The IBF bantamweight champion will look to put on a show after a year-long absence, having beaten Shannon O\u2019Connell with a broken hand last December.<\/p>\n<p>But the Blonde Bomber will not be the only source of entertainment on the fight schedule. The American was heading towards a defeat when he faced Steve Spark in November 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Love, having been knocked down in the second and suffered a nasty cut above the eye from a headbutt, got tangled in a clinch with Spark in the sixth round. But in shocking scenes, the 28-year-old drove his opponent towards the ropes, flipping Spark over the top rope and out of the ring.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31637958.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_love-spark-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31637963.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_love-spark-4.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Spark rose to his feet immediately after taking the tumble and looked at his rival in confusion. But despite Spark climbing back into the ring to continue the bout, referee David Fields disqualified Love, handing him the first defeat of his career.<\/p>\n<p>Both the fans and the two fighters were left disappointed by the underwhelming ending, with Spark even claiming he was \u201cdevastated\u201d despite ending up victorious.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31637972.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_Love-Paro-Boxing-23343076211889.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31634611.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/1_GettyImages-1841041853.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to Cleveland for the hospitality,\u201d said the Australian. \u201cMy job is to fight, and this has changed my life. I got the early knock down and I was fighting with my whole heart, it was growing into a great fight, but we didn\u2019t want it to end this way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was using dirty rough house tactics all night and I pushed him off me, I didn\u2019t lift him up or throw him out of the ring. We wanted him to tire out and catch him later on, and that\u2019s where it was going. I want to do it again, he can\u2019t outbox me or outfight me, let\u2019s do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Love, from Cleveland Ohio, will hope his upcoming fight ends in less controversial fashion.
