Spurs star scores at BOTH ENDS in just over two minutes as his own goal cancels out his opener in frantic start to clash with Man City<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Son Heung-min has scored at both ends within the first ten minutes at the Etihad<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Manchester City and Tottenham played out a 3-3 thriller including late drama\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Big Ange has lost three in a row, but no chance he changes his style: IAKO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Spurs captain Son Heung-min has scored at both ends of the pitch in the opening ten minutes of their Premier League game against Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p>He was able to squeeze the ball past Ederson for a sixth-minute opener which stunned the hosts at the Etihad, but honours were even just three minutes later when a Man City free-kick deflected off him and into the goal to make it 1-1.<\/p>\n<p>Opta calculated there were just\u00a0137 seconds between the two goals, and he is only the second player in history to score at both ends in the first ten minutes of play in the Premier League, after Gareth Barry&#8217;s performance for Aston Villa\u00a0versus Charlton in May 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the own goal, former England striker Dion Dublin told BBC Radio 5 Live: &#8216;Nothing Son or Spurs can do about it&#8217;.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The previous quickest pairing of a goal and an own goal by the same Premier League player in a game was Man United&#8217;s Jonny Evans, when he scored the goals 167 seconds apart against Newcastle United in December 2012, as reported by The Athletic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/03\/17\/78526403-12820423-image-a-1_1701623480420.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Spurs&#8217; Son Heung-min opened the scoring after six minutes by squeezing the ball home<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/03\/17\/78526401-12820423-image-a-2_1701623509341.jpg\" height=\"492\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Just over two minutes later, the ball deflected off him and into the goal for the equaliser<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/03\/17\/78526679-12820423-image-m-20_1701624045821.jpg\" height=\"410\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Aston Villa&#8217;s Gareth Barry was the last league player to achieve the feat in the first ten minutes<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/03\/17\/78526877-12820423-image-a-21_1701624527345.jpg\" height=\"590\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Fans took to social media to share their reactions to the unusual pair of goals. One said: &#8216;I hope Spurs win the match, if not, he is going to feel very bad.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Another added: &#8216;That was a hell of a mistake. That shouldn&#8217;t dampen his spirit.
