Manchester United should sack Erik ten Hag at Christmas if there is no improvement, according to Robbie Savage. The former Red Devils midfielder believes that is enough time for the Dutchman to implement his philosophy on his squad.<\/p>\n
United have suffered three defeats in their opening five Premier League matches of the season. It is their worst start to any league campaign since 1989.<\/p>\n
Ten Hag made seven signings in the summer transfer window, spending over \u00a3180million. However, the influx of new players is yet to pay dividends on the pitch.<\/p>\n
Ten Hag has also had several high-profile issues off the pitch to deal with. Antony is currently on a leave of absence following allegations of assault, while Jadon Sancho is currently out in the cold after falling out with his manager.<\/p>\n

Savage says the pressure is mounting on Ten Hag already.<\/p>\n He told Planet Sport Bet: “It\u2019s been of their worst ever starts to a Premier League campaign. The way the team are playing is really really poor and some of the substitutions like [Rasmus] Hojlund being taken off at the weekend are very strange too.<\/p>\n “I wasn\u2019t surprised at all that Brighton went to Old Trafford and won. Erik ten Hag has got to get them playing in a way that allows the players to play to their full abilities and because they\u2019re not doing that, he\u2019s under huge pressure.”<\/p>\n Savage thought United would be in a title race this season but says that can already be ruled out.
