Dana White reacts to Jon Jones slamming Francis Ngannou & makes fight prediction

Dana White doubts Jon Jones actually wants to move up to heavyweight and fight Francis Ngannou following a string of online clashes between the UFC stars.

Ngannou’s threat to put Jones to sleep sparked a stern response from the light heavyweight champion and fans have been dreaming about a potential match-up.

Jones has long teased a move up in weight, but White played down the possibility of a bout against Ngannou.

‘Anything’s possible,’ White responded when asked the fight. ‘I don’t know if those guys really want that fight.

‘Let me tell you this, and I’m not saying this is the case with these two, you see a lot of talk online and whatever it might be.

‘Actually making fights is a whole other ballgame.’

Jones responded to Ngannou’s latest message by promising to expose the Cameroon fighter and referencing a famously boring clash the heavyweight had with Derrick Lewis last year.

‘First you can save the rest of your tongue pictures for your other homies and yes I’m right here, just waking up from watching that Derek Lewis fight again,’ Jones said.

‘You ain’t scaring nobody, I saw your heart. You’re a big old mouse, I’ll expose you.’

The UFC have just finished up their first events back during the coronavirus pandemic after holding three fight nights in the space of seven days in Florida.

Jones is unlikely to fight anytime soon following an arrest in April, while Ngannou is fresh of a stunning 20-second knockout of Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
