Conor McGregor brands Jorge Masvidal ‘ridiculous’ for wearing Versace robe

Conor McGregor has lashed out at his potential next opponent Jorge Masvidal for his choice of outfit at UFC 246 as the Irishman secured a stunning victory over Donald Cerrone.

The BMF champion was in attendance at the T-Mobile in Las Vegas to see the ‘Notorious’ incredible comeback fight which lasted just 46 seconds.

And he opted to wear the exact same Versace robe Conor McGregor wore in 2017.

However, Masvidal’s choice of clothing was clearly not to McGregor’s taste, as he described his welterweight rival as “weird”.

“I don’t know what that was all about. It looked ridiculous to me,” the Irishman said.

“Was it my actual robe? It was the same black one I had. It was ridiculous, I don’t know what that was about. That’s a bit weird.

“[Does he want to fight McGregor] Yeah no problem. We can do that. Was he trying to get my attention, is that what he was trying to do?

Speaking after the win, McGregor admitted he was proud to rewrite UFC history, adding that flooring Cerrone with a head kick made the victory even sweeter.

He continued: “I made history here tonight, I set another record. I'm the first fighter in UFC history to secure knockouts at featherweight, lightweight and now welterweight so I'm very proud of that.

“Donald holds the record for the most head-kick knockouts so I'm so happy to get him there with a head-kick myself.
