Who Liverpool, Man Utd, City and Chelsea can draw in Champions League last 16

It's been a pretty successful week for English clubs in the Champions League.

Manchester United grabbed a desperately-needed victory, Liverpool won their fifth group game on the trot, Chelsea thumped Juventus 4-0 and Manchester City fought back to beat Paris Saint Germain.

All four teams have qualified for the knockout rounds, and three of them have already secured top spot in their group in a magnificent advert for Premier League football.

With the last 16 draw just a couple of weeks away, Daily Star Sport has taken a look at which opponents United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool can expect to face in February.

Remember, teams from the same domestic league cannot draw one another, nor can teams who qualify from the same group.

Let's kick things off.

Man City

Last night's 2-1 victory over PSG puts Pep Guardiola's side in a healthy position. Topping the group crucially means they'll avoid Bayern Munich, but there are still a few potential banana skins awaiting them in the next round.

They could face any of the three teams in Liverpool's group; Porto, AC Milan or Atletico, with just a point separating them in an all-to-play-for final round.

Real Madrid are currently top of group D, but should they lose to Inter Milan in the final fixture, the Italians could leapfrog them into first.

City could also face a trip to Barcelona, and if Chelsea beat Zenit next month, a trip to Juventus too.

Teams Man City could draw:Porto/AC Milan/Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid/Inter Milan, Barcelona/Benfica, Villarreal/Atalanta, Lille/Red Bull Salzburg/Sevilla/Wolfsburg, Juventus

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp's side were plopped in arguably the toughest group in the competition, but after five convincing wins from five games, you wouldn't have noticed.

Like City, finishing top means they avoid Bayern, who are probably their biggest non-English threat, but they could draw PSG.

Depending on results in the final round of fixtures, they could also face Real, Barca or Juventus, but after cruising through their group unscathed, the Reds probably don't fear anyone.

Manchester United

United breathed a massive sigh of relief on Tuesday night following victory over Villarreal.

In spite of the turmoil on and off the field, the Red Devils managed to top their group, paving the way for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's replacement to hit the ground running when he arrives – whoever it may be.

Ties with PSG, Real Madrid or Juventus will appeal to neutrals, but there's every chance United could land the likes of Sporting, Lille or Wolfsburg too.

Chelsea

As they haven't guaranteed top-spot in their group, Chelsea could still face up to half of the competition in the next round.

Much of their fate depends on how they get on against Zenit in their final group game. Win and they're top, but if Juventus better their result, the Blues could be drawn against Bayern Munich or the high-flying Ajax.

Given that the other three English sides have won their groups, finishing second would limit Chelsea to just four possible opponents, but after Tuesday night's showing, the Champions League are probably happy to face anyone.
