Tottenham will face Wolsfberger in the Europa League round of 32 with Jose Mourinho under heaps of pressure. He knows that he must keep Spurs in the competition or face further calls to be sacked.

Tottenham are likely to field a strong side when they face Wolfsberger in the Europa League tonight – with two fringe players possibly being given the chance to shine.

Jose Mourinho is under huge pressure in north London after some miserly form in the Premier League.

Spurs have taken just 12 points from their last 12 matches and they face a fight to make it into the top six – let alone the top four.

It has seen reports that ‘The Special One’ is being primed for the axe, with Brendan Rodgers and Julian Nagelsmann being framed to take over.

With Champions League qualification looking difficult from the table alone, winning the Europa League will provide passage to the prestigious competition.

But it starts tonight when Tottenham face Wolfsberger in Austria with a first leg expected from the Prem side that would show their superiority.

As a result, it would be no surprise to see Mourinho field a strong side as he looks to wrap the tie up as quickly as possible.

However, the former Manchester United manager might also give starts to Dele Alli and Gareth Bale – who both have points to prove.

In January, there were reports Alli could leave but he ended up staying and the midfielder and Mourinho had clear-the-air talks.

Bale, on the other hand, has had endured a miserable return to north London – though there have been flashes of quality.

Harry Kane is expected to start, too, with Carlos Vinicius failing to convince Mourinho.

Tottenham expected XI: Lloris; Aurier, Rodon, Dier, Davies; Sissoko, Hojbjerg; Bale, Alli, Bergwijn; Kane.
