Sweden 2-1 Croatia: Marcus Danielson scores at both ends as Swedes hold out for their first Nations League victory

Two first half strikes from the home side were enough to ensure they finally got off the mark in Group three after four successive losses.

Sweden took the lead through midfielder Dejan Kulusevski in the 36th minute and just on the stroke of half time, Marcus Danielson doubled the home side’s lead, however the defender put through his own net in the 81st minute in what was a consolation for the Croats.

The result leaves lifts the Swedes above the 2018 World Cup finalists on goal difference into third in the table.
