David Silva will take an honorary kick-off as Spain’s special guest during their friendly with Bosnia later this month.
The Manchester City midfielder retired from international duty after the World Cup this summer, but his feats will be celebrated at the Estadio de Gran Canaria on November 18.
Although the fixture will not count as an official international appearance, Silva will be rewarded with a special cap by UEFA to mark his 100-plus games for his country.

Silva, who scored 35 times in 125 caps, won the 2010 World Cup as well as the 2008 and 2012 European Championships with Spain.
‘November 18 will be a special day for all,’ Spanish FA president Luis Rubialessaid on Tuesday at the launch event for this match.
‘Remember that many players from this island have represented the national team.’
Silva has focused all his attention on Manchester City where he has netted five goals this term
As well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain travel to Croatia three days prior in the Nations League.
Luis Enrique’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways in the competition after a shock home defeat by England last time out.
But Spain can be sure of making the semi-finals with victory over the group’s bottom side, leaving the World Cup finalists facing a must-win game at Wembley to avoid relegation into League B at the expense of the Three Lions.
Gareth Southgate’s side have also announced they will be holding a farewell game for a long serving star, with Wayne Rooney to to return for an international friendly with the United States.
