Cristiano Ronaldo could soon be joined in Saudi Arabia by a familiar face as Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad line up an audacious swoop for Wilfried Zaha. The Crystal Palace star will be available as a free agent this summer and he has been offered a mega contract to head to the Arabian Gulf where Ronaldo is currently playing.
The Ivory Coast international is out of contract in the summer and is yet to renew his deal with the Premier League club – thought to be worth £120,000-a-week – as he waits on offers from Europe’s elite.
It is understood the Eagles have submitted a contract offer which would make the 30-year-old the highest-paid player in their history, but he is yet to make a decision on his future.
As he continues to mull over his next move, a report from the Daily Mail claims Zaha’s representatives have been approached by Al-Ittihad, who are willing to pay him wages of £9million-a-year after tax.

Al-Ittihad’s title rivals, Al-Nassr, are also keeping a keen eye on developments involving Zaha and they are keen to bring in Zaha to form a talented frontline with former United star Ronaldo next season. The Portuguese superstar, 38, has hit eight goals in his first seven games since penning a mammoth two-year £344m agreement with the Riyahd-based club.
The same report claims that Palace have tabled a deal worth almost £200,000-a-week including bonuses and it remains possible that Zaha could extend his stay at Selhurst Park. He is held in high regard by the club’s supporters, having made over 450 appearances for the club across two spells after a failed stint with Manchester United.
Zaha has made it clear for some time he wishes to play in the Champions League and nearly joined Arsenal four years ago, before the Gunners signed Nicolas Pepe instead. But the lure of a huge contract and becoming one of the biggest names in the division in Saudi Arabia could appeal to the London-born winger.

Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked in the past with the forward, who has scored six goals in 21 Premier League appearances this season. But Palace coach Patrick Vieira remains upbeat about his chances of convincing Zaha to stay in south London.
“I don’t see any reason why not,” he said, when asked about renewing Zaha’s deal. “The way he plays and shows passion for winning games, and with the way he cares about the fans and the football club, I still believe there is a chance to keep him.
“If there are options and he decides to leave it will be a sad moment, but we have to respect it – he has been really good to this football club.
“He may want to stay here and try to take the club to a different level and build something the fans will always remember. For this club, he is always going to be a legend.”
