Ronald Koeman is targeting the LaLiga title after guiding Barcelona to glory in the Copa del Rey.

Koeman won his first trophy as Barcelona manager on Saturday, with his side securing a 4-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao. 

Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring on the hour mark, with Frenkie de Jong also finding the net before Lionel Messi hit a brace.

Following their impressive win, Koeman is eager for Barcelona to secure further silverware. 

Koeman told Marca: ‘We are very happy and we deserved to win at least one title this season and we will fight for La Liga until the last game.

‘The club deserves it. It is a happy day for all Catalans.

‘It is a deserved success. We have made changes to the team this year, but the players have delivered.’

Winning LaLiga certainly won’t be an easy task, with Barcelona currently in third place.

Koeman’s team are two points adrift of leaders Atletico Madrid and one point behind Real Madrid. 

There are eight rounds of fixtures remaining, with Barcelona set to face Atletico next month in what could be a crucial encounter.

Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain, but will be hopeful of finishing the season strongly.
