Romelu Lukaku is pushing Chelsea to make another approach to Inter Milan for two more signings next year, according to reports. The Blues made Lukaku the club’s most expensive ever signing in the summer when they paid £97.5million to bring him back to the club.

Signing a top-rated striker was Chelsea’s No 1 priority for the summer transfer window with Erling Haaland initially being their main target.

Once Borussia Dortmund made it clear that Haaland was not for sale, Chelsea swiftly moved their focus on to Lukaku.

And the Belgium international has hit the ground running with three goals in as many games, including a brace in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend.

Saul Niguez also joined Chelsea on deadline day in a loan deal from Atletico Madrid.

But there was some disappointment with Chelsea failing in their bid to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

With Kurt Zouma leaving to join West Ham, it was thought that a deal for Kounde would be completed in the final days of the transfer window.

However, Sevilla’s asking price proved too much with Tuchel having to contend with the options at his disposal.

The German head coach has been aided by the emergence of Trevoh Chalobah, but an injury to one or two of his defensive options could leave Tuchel short of options.

DON’T MISS

And Lukaku has reportedly stepped in to advise Tuchel on two targets Chelsea could look to sign as alternatives to Kounde.

According to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, Lukaku has made the ‘suggestion’ for Chelsea to make moves for Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni.

Skriniar was strongly linked with a move to Tottenham 12 months ago but Inter were able to keep hold of the defender.

Bastoni meanwhile was a regular last season as Inter went on to win Serie A under Antonio Conte.

Neither of them will come cheap though with the report stating Inter are not in a position where they want to sell.

Both players have been regular starters for Inter this season so far as the defending champions have gone undefeated through three league games.

Bastoni was unavailable for the recent 2-2 draw against Sampdoria though with Federico Dimarco stepping in to take his place.
