Premier League’s top 10 strikers for big chances missed – with Timo Werner 4th
Chelsea’s Timo Werner, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino are all included in the list of strikers who have missed the most big chances so far this season.
The hectic start to the new Premier League campaign has led to 461 goals in the opening 164 matches, which works out to an average of 2.81 goals per game.
In addition, seven players have already reached an impressive tally of 10 goals after 17 match weeks, but many of those are guilty of missing several more big chances.
Although the form of Werner has been a regular topic of conversation for his Frank Lampard, he is ranked in fourth on the list of the top 10 players for big misses so far.
Also included are Rashford and Firmino as well as Patrick Bamford, Ollie Watkins and Chris Wood.
Some of those names might come as a shock thanks to their impressive goal returns, but it is usually those who are getting into all the right positions that end up having the most chances to spurn.
However, that isn’t always the case, with Oliver McBurnie and Che Adams also named having scored one and four goals respectively.
