Michael Owen’s Premier League predictions including Man Utd vs Burnley
All eyes are on Turf Moor on Tuesday as Man Utd bid to go top of the Premier League table in their clash with Burnley.
United are currently level on points with league leaders Liverpool, but will edge ahead of their rivals should they get a result from their game in hand.
That would set things up nicely for the showdown at Anfield on Sunday, but Sean Dyche's men will have other ideas as they look to pull further away from the drop zone.
Yet former United striker Michael Owen believes it will be to little avail, as he has tipped the Red Devils to emerge victorious in a 2-0 scoreline ahead of the battle between his old clubs.
"Back on league duty, United will be hoping to keep their momentum going after an impressive run of results has seen the Reds surge into second spot," Owen told BetVictor .
"The big news for me here is the return of Edison Cavani. United create so many chances and I think the Uruguayan will benefit hugely from that.
"Despite Burnley’s recent upturn in form, I think United will have more than enough to pick up another 3 points on the road."
There are five other games taking place in midweek, including Arsenal, who are looking to keep up their rich vein of recent form against Crystal Palace.

The Gunners put a halt to their dismal run on Boxing Day, maintaining a 100% record since, and Owen feels they will have little trouble stretching it further.
"Arsenal seem to be growing in confidence," he said. "The mood certainly seems better at the Emirates and I’d expect them to keep improving.
"Palace are still too inconsistent for me.
"With the positive vibes now back at the Emirates, I think the home side will continue on their upward curve and take the points."

Owen forecasts draws in each of the matches between Sheffield Utd vs Newcastle and Wolves vs Everton, as well as a routine win for Tottenham over Fulham.
And he full expects Man City to gain ground on those at the top in their meeting with Brighton at the Etihad.
"Brighton have the potential to cause most sides problems, however, they have proven to be toothless in front of goal all season and I fear that could cost them dearly in the end," Owen said.
"To me, this looks like a straightforward win for City as they ramp up their pursuit of another Premier League title."
