Man Utd’s Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes leapfrog Kylian Mbappe as value skyrockets
Man Utd: Rashford thanks mum winning SJA prize
Manchester United stars Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes have seen their values rise sharply in the CIES Football Observatory – with both leapfrogging Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe. In the bi-annual list, which estimates transfer values for players in Europe’s top-five leagues, Rashford has moved up four places from fifth to first. The England international, who has had an exceptional year both on and off the pitch, is said to be worth £150.3million.
Rashford’s value has increased from £138.3m since the last list was published in June 2020.
He has scored 14 goals in all competitions so far for United this season, combining his football with ensuring children continue in the UK to get free school meals which earned him an MBE in October.
Rashford’s United team-mate Fernandes is up to fourth after a stunning first 12 months for the Red Devils.
Fernandes’ value has increased from £95.2m to £137.1m in the last six months, moving him up 13 places in the list.

However, Mbappe’s estimated price tag has fallen dramatically.
The France star was the most expensive player last June, at an estimated £235m.
However, with his contract expiring at the end of next season, he has seen the value drop to £135.6m and his position in the list to fifth.
Erling Haaland is second on the latest list, valued at £137.9m, having scored 33 goals in as many games for Borussia Dortmund since his move last January.

Liverpool and England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold sits third at £137.6m.
After Mbappe in fifth comes Haaland’s Dortmund team-mate Jadon Sancho (£134.6m), Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix (£128.4m) and Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies (£126.4m).
Making up the top 10 are Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling (£124.3m) and Chelsea summer signing Kai Havertz (£123.5m).
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi just makes the top 100 list, with the Argentine’s estimated value at just £49m. This is largely because the 33-year-old is out of contract at Barca at the end of the season.
Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo is only 131st on the list, valued at £42.6m, with the Portuguese turning 36 next month.
Manchester City star Ederson is valued as the most expensive goalkeeper, at £72.2m, and his team-mate Ruben Dias the most expensive centre-back at £115.1m.
Arsenal and England youngster Bukayo Saka makes his way onto the list following his fine recent performances.
Saka is the 15th most expensive player at £105.5m, behind Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah (£121.2m) and Sadio Mane (£112.4m).
