Man Utd target’s price jumps £25m with Liverpool stars among top 20 risers since January

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to overhaul the first team squad at Old Trafford as he prepares for the 2019/20 campaign.

The United boss has already signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James while a new centre-back and another midfielder are also in the Norwegian’s sights.

Leicester are proving reluctant to sell Harry Maguire, with the Red Devils having had a £70million bid for the defender rejected by the Foxes.

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes has emerged as the most likely candidate to bolster the United midfield although Sporting Lisbon are reportedly unwilling to let their star man leave for less than £54m.

This is around £5m more than the Portuguese international’s market value, according to, and over £30m more than the 24-year-old was worth in January.

According to their algorithm based on on-field performances, contract status and age, Fernandes is one of the top 20 players who have enjoyed the biggest price tag increases this year.

Liverpool are also well-stocked in talent with sky-rocketing value as both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane make the top five.

This is in direct contrast to the unfortunate Philippe Coutinho who is among the top 20 players to have depreciated in value most since the turn of the year.
