Man Utd players ‘turn on Sancho’ after Arsenal strop in show of Ten Hag loyalty

Man Utd players' feelings towards Jadon Sancho after latest Erik ten Hag spat

The Manchester United dressing room has turned on Jadon Sancho after publicly speaking out against Erik ten Hag on Sunday, according to reports. Sancho reacted badly to his exclusion from Ten Hag’s squad to face Arsenal but has received little sympathy from his colleagues.

The 23-year-old winger’s absence from United’s travelling party for the 3-1 defeat against Arsenal didn’t go unnoticed.

After full-time at the Emirates Stadium, Ten Hag confirmed he had snubbed Sancho due to his performances in training during the week.

Shortly after, the United No 25 fired back online, questioning Ten Hag’s reasoning and claiming he had been made a ‘scapegoat’.

It has left an awkward sense of anticipation during the international break, with the pair expected to hold private talks once they return from their respective time off.

But Sancho’s behaviour has allegedly been met poorly by his United teammates, who are growing frustrated with his ongoing issues.

According to ESPN, the United dressing has had enough of Sancho and agrees with Ten Hag’s strict approach due to the Dutchman making no exceptions for any squad member.

Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo were just a few of the names that faced disciplinary action during his first year as boss.

And Sancho’s public outburst hasn’t gone down well at Carrington, though it is said that many aren’t surprised by his reaction.

The £73million flop now faces a battle to regain the support of Ten Hag and his teammates ahead of next Saturday’s home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.

But he hasn’t deleted his post, which has received over 60 million interactions, and instead pinned it on his X (formerly Twitter) profile.

And Sancho was said to be open to a late Saudi Arabia loan before a potential move to Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq collapsed due to United’s £50m obligation to buy demand.

ESPN add that Ten Hag feels no need to clarify or tone down his remarks, having been let down by Sancho’s poor performance on the training pitch.

And the England international hasn’t set the world alight in competitive action either, registering just 12 goals and six assists in 82 games since returning to his homeland.

Sancho produced 16 goals and 20 assists in 38 appearances in his final season at Borussia Dortmund.

Ten Hag will hope to resolve the situation shortly ahead of a challenging four-day period, with a Champions League trip to Bayern Munich to follow Brighton’s visit to Old Trafford.
