Man Utd ‘contact’ Atalanta over move for 18-year-old wonder kid Amad Traore
Manchester United have reportedly contacted Atalanta over a potential deal for 18-year-old forward Amad Traore.
Traore, who plays on the right wing, made three Serie A appearances last season and travelled with the Atalanta squad their Champions League quarter-final defeat to PSG.
United have targeted a right-winger in the shape of Jadon Sancho all summer, though have not got a deal over the line.
But Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Ivory Coast-born Traore.
The Manchester Evening News say that United have contacted Atalanta amid competition from other clubs, though he is not seen as an alternative to Sancho.
The MEN add that Traore will not be cheap despite his lack of top level experience with Parma also believed to be interested.
United have made just one signing this summer with Donny van de Beek arriving at Old Trafford from Ajax.
On his transfer business, Solskjaer said: “I am very happy working with these players and the squad.

“We always trying to improve and to see if there’s any way possible that we can improve this squad and bring players in that will have the right level of quality and the right personality and have all the right criteria.
“We all know this summer and this year has been a very strange one and it’s important that everyone understands that this has an effect on football and not everyone can spend millions and millions, and new millions.
