Man Utd chief Ed Woodward identifies Premier League ace as Jadon Sancho alternative
Manchester United have identified Bournemouth ace David Brooks as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils have made Sancho their priority target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Dortmund are demanding around £100m for the England international, who has dominated in the Bundesliga this season.
The German giants are said to be willing to let the winger leave this summer – providing their asking price is met.
And according to the Manchester Evening News, United chief Ed Woodward has identified a transfer alternative to Sancho.
They say United could move for Bournemouth ace Brooks if they cannot complete a deal for Sancho.

The 22-year-old hasn’t featured under Eddie Howe this season after a serious ankle injury prior to the start of the campaign.
However, the Wales international will be fully fit when the Premier League season returns after the coronavirus break.
A lot has been made of United’s interest in Sancho, with European transfer expert Gabriele Marcotti claiming the Red Devils could sell Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling to free up funds.
“I don’t really buy that,” Marcotti told ESPN FC when asked if United must get rid of Paul Pogba before landing Sancho.

“I don’t see those two things as related. Why they should be related.
“Basically, if you look at Manchester United’s numbers over the last few years, if you look at last season, certainly if you look at their spending, if you look at the way they have tried to work on their wage bill, I don’t see why all of a sudden it becomes imperative to sell Pogba so you can bring in Jadon Sancho.
“Bear in mind, we don’t quite know what the transfer market is going to look like, what the numbers are going to look like, how much money it is effectively going to take to bring in Jadon Sancho.
“I think if you are United, there are certain things you want to do, but I think they are going to be just as effective.

“If you can find a home for Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling, both of whom are on loan, both of whose loans expire.
“Roma would like to keep Smalling, Inter with Alexis a little bit less so.
“But those two guys together, you look at their wages and that is substantially more, for example than what Paul Pogba earns.
“Plus you get some money back, presumably for Smalling.”
