Man Utd already have Sancho’s debut game mapped out due to Dortmund ‘confidence’

Manchester United have Jadon Sancho's debut game mapped out after growing more confident over a deal.

The Red Devils have made the 20-year-old a top transfer target after a summer-long pursuit.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to land the England international as he searches for a solution to his problem on the wings.

Sancho had a stunning season in the Bundesliga last year, scoring 17 and assisting as many too.

United have had a breakthrough in talks with the England international after agreeing personal terms.

Borussia Dortmund have always maintained that he would cost £110m and have no intention of breaking from that promise.

But the Red Devils are growing more and more confident that a deal can be made for Sancho.

So much so, that they even have his debut planned out – with United's match against Crystal Palace in mind.

According to Norwegian journalist Fredrik A N Flitvedt, the match at Old Trafford on September 19 has been pencilled in.

Flitvedt tweeted : "Solskjaer should be frustrated that things take time, but United feel increasingly confident that they can reach an agreement with Dortmund on Sancho. United have ambitions that he is ready for the Palace match."

United have already made one signing this summer in the shape of Donny van de Beek.

He arrived from Ajax for a fee of around £40m and Solskjaer has insisted more clever transfers need to be made.

“We've come quite the distance since February,” Solskjaer said. “But you saw how tired you were towards the end. We need the break.

“It's going to be a strange summer. The market is open for so long. We've got to be good, smart and clever.

“We're looking at it. I can't say when and if they're going to be done. It's a quick turnaround. We have to be 100 per cent sure when we make those deals.
