Klopp insists "nothing changed" with Alisson as he sends challenge to Reds No1
Jurgen Klopp maintains "nothing changed" in his perception of Alisson despite the goalkeeper's high profile mistakes.
The Brazilian has been a rock for Liverpool in between the sticks but made several howlers in successive defeats against Manchester City and Leicester City.
Those errors cost the Reds and they are now in a race to finish in the top four.
Klopp is in no doubt that he has a "world class" goalkeeper, but has challenged Alisson to do the necessary work to recover from his errors.
"Nothing has changed with my confidence in Alisson. We are all human beings, and Ali as well," said Klopp.
"He showed that in the last two games, that is how it is, it is not a problem.
"It means work [to recover from mistakes] but most of the work you have to do with yourself and he is doing that.
"It is not about telling him he is a world-class goalkeeper, he knows that, when he gets up in the morning he looks in the mirror and sees a world-class goalie.
"Ali is too smart to ignore [the errors] completely, other personalities would not struggle, but in the end he can rely, and we can rely, on his quality, on his attitude, how focused he is in a game and all these kinds of things.
"For sure he has not had the best time in the last two [league] games but the Leipzig game was a good one to get back."
Alisson was able to keep a clean sheet as the Reds got back to winning ways on the European stage.
Domestically though the 28-year-old has been beaten at least once in his last six games.
The goalless draw with Manchester United back on January 17 was the last time Alisson kept a clean sheet in the Premier League.
