Kieran Tierney sent warning about joining Arsenal from Celtic – ‘It’s very, very tough’
That is the opinion of former Arsenal and Celtic striker Charlie Nicholas.
The Gunners have already seen multiple bids for Tierney turned down this summer.
The latest rejected offer was said to be £25million, with Celtic not happy at the structure of instalments Arsenal wanted to pay.
Nicholas admits Tierney would be a big loss for Celtic and an upgrade on Arsenal’s current left-backs.
Tierney has vastly improved at Celtic, become a real top, top defender in terms of the domestic setup in Scotland. But in England it’s so much harder

However, he has warned the Scotland international he will find it harder in the Premier League than the Scottish Premiership.
“Well he’d be a big loss [for Celtic],” Nicholas told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“I’m not over the top about defenders all the time because being an ex-striker I like people who are creative and get goals, because it wins you football matches.
“But I do respect the art of defending.
“Tierney has vastly improved at Celtic, become a real top, top defender in terms of the domestic setup in Scotland.
“But in England it’s so much harder, it’s very, very tough.
“If he does come then Arsenal will get an improvement on what they already have by a fair distance in my opinion.
“It would be a damage for Celtic but it’s a full-back, it’s a position that you can refill. People will find that.
“They might not get someone as good but in time they will fill the position.”
Tierney has made 170 career appearances for Celtic, scoring eight goals.
He is yet to find the back of the net in his 12 caps for his country.
