Galatasaray’s Badou Ndiaye, on loan from Stoke, Fenerbahce’s ex-Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado and Jailson were all given their marching orders following the melee.

Most of the squad came charging onto the pitch with a beeline for the Brazilian midfielder. After being on the end of at least one aimed punch, the 23-year-old opted to remove himself from the situation and ran for the safety of the changing rooms.
However, as he tried to make his escape, large swathes of Galatasaray players followed and chased him off the pitch in a sprinting frenzy.
