Henderson ready to ‘do everything’ as Klopp is yet to win Community Shield

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has laid down the gauntlet ahead of their clash with Manchester City on Saturday evening.

The Community Shield remains the one trophy that's have eluded Jurgen Klopp during his time on Merseyside. And Henderson has warned City that Liverpool are ready 'to do everything' by winning the one title they've never got their hands on.

The Reds have twice competed in the Community Shield under Klopp, but they have twice lost to City and Chelsea. Liverpool booked their ticket to the King Power when they beat Chelsea, on penalties, in the final of the FA Cup last season.

Speaking to LFC TV, Henderson said: "It's another chance to win silverware, and we haven't won it before.

"So, of course, we want to go there and we want to win the game, and we want to win the trophy. So we'll do everything in our power to do that and hopefully puts us in good stead going into the Premier League season the week after."

The Reds are looking to win their second Premier League, but they will face a tough challenge from City.
