Guardiola names reason for Foden’s absence as City fans think he was ‘dropped’
Manchester City fans are convinced Phil Foden's poor form saw him dropped for their clash with Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
However, Pep Guardiola revealed that Foden was not fully fit, and that's why he wasn't included in City's matchday squad. And after Erling Haaland had put Wolves to the sword, Guardiola expanded on Foden's issuing, telling press he had sustained a 'foot problem'.
But that hasn't stopped some City fans from convincing themselves his post-World Cup poor form was the reason he wasn't involved on Sunday. And City fans reacted to the news on social media.

While a fourth tweeted: "Foden needs to take a look at himself and decide what type of player he wants to be because obviously, it’s his attitude!"
