Five dream Arsenal signings that Edu can complete in January transfer window
Arsenal enjoyed an excellent summer transfer window, strengthening their squad considerably with seven senior signings. Most notably, Gabriel Magalhaes has been excellent in defence, while the capture of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid is proving to be something of a coup. With the January transfer window looming, Express Sport takes a look at five dream signings Edu could complete in the upcoming January transfer window.
Aston Villa’s captain has had an excellent start to the season so far, with Dean Smith’s side currently sat in sixth place in the Premier League table and Grealish forcing his way into the England squad.
Gunners legend Gilberto Silva recently said Grealish “could be somebody for the future at Arsenal” but, given the lack of goals Arteta’s side have scored so far this season, surely he could make an immediate impact if he joined in January.
It certainly would be a dream transfer, though, with it seeming unlikely that the 25-year-old will be on his way out of Villa Park any time soon.
However, Arsenal could certainly do with some more creativity.

Their unsuccessful pursuit of Aouar over the summer is evidence of Arteta’s desire for a creative midfielder and the Gunners could return for the Frenchman in January.
A deal could be difficult though, with Juventus also interested in the 22-year-old and Lyon holding out for a bumper transfer fee.
Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Szoboszlai has also been linked with a switch to the Emirates and is a potential alternative to Aouar.
The youngster has been compared to Toni Kroos and would likely cost less than Aouar, with his current Salzburg deal due to expire in 2022.

Sao Paulo striker Brenner has also been mooted as a potential signing for the Gunners and the fact he possesses an Italian passport means he would not have to obtain a work permit.
Brenner has scored 17 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions so far this season and, with Arsenal struggling in front of goal at the moment, a new striker would be a welcome addition.
The forward is said to have a £45m release clause in his contract but it is thought that Sao Paulo would be willing to let him go for half that amount, with the coronavirus pandemic effecting their earnings.

Although Gabriel has impressed since joining the club, there are still some question marks over Arsenal’s defence.
The likes of Rob Holding, David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi have all partnered the Brazilian at times this season but they have still conceded more Premier League goals than they have scored.
RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano has been repeatedly linked with a number of top European clubs but his centre-back partner Konate would be an excellent addition for the Gunners.
