“He will be missed.”

Fabinho started on the bench as Liverpool beat Norwich 3-0 last Saturday thanks to goals from Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

The 27-year-old had been given some extra time off after helping Brazil reach the final of the Copa America before a 1-0 defeat to Argentina.

The Reds take on Burnley next, and it has not yet been confirmed whether or not Fabinho will be in action.

Earlier this month, Fabinho shared a picture on Instagram of himself with his father wearing his Champions League winners medal.

He wrote in the caption: “Happy Father’s Day, Papa. Thanks for being an example for me.

“May God continue to bless you and use you. Love you.”
