Everton vs West Ham LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture today
Follow all the action as Everton welcome David Moyes’s West Ham to Goodison Park in the Premier League on New Year’s Day.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side enters 2021 in terrific form, having won their last four league matches in succession, including victories over Chelsea and Leicester City. That run has seen the Toffees move into fourth and they are now just four points adrift of arch-rivals Liverpool. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been prolific thus far this season, scoring 11 goals already in the league, although Ancelotti is still without key new signings James Rodriguez and Allan. Everton lacked a creative edge last time out against struggling Sheffield United but ground out the three points and will be well rested after their fixture against Manchester City was cancelled at late notice.
Meanwhile, Moyes returns to his former side with West Ham, who the Scot has dramatically rejuvenated during the first part of the season. A fine start saw the Hammers soar up the table, however, they have been mired in a more recent slump, having now gone four games without a victory. A goalless draw against high-flying Southampton last time out was not a bad result, though, and the return of Michail Antonio after a long injury layoff will provide a huge boost.
