Chelsea given Haaland blow, Bakayoko offered to Napoli, and in for ‘new Pogba’

Chelsea's summer is yet to get into the swing of things.

The blues have only made signing so far this window – Fulham's shot-stopper Marcus Bettinelli – as they look to build on their European success from last campaign.

Thomas Tuchel's side pipped Manchester City to the Champions League title last season, and they'll be hoping for similar success in the Premier League this time out.

Chelsea's main aim has been to secure the services of a new striker as Timo Werner continued to struggle in front of goal.

And Daily Star Sport has rounded up all the day's transfer news from Stamford Bridge.

Haaland heartbreak

Chelsea have suffered fresh heartbreak in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund's superstar Erling Haaland.

Haaland has been identified as Chelsea's number one target this summer, however, his latest comments to Dortmund's latest signing, Donyell Malen, hint the Norwegian will be staying this summer.

"I told him to give me a lot of assists, otherwise I'll get mad at him. I hope we will play together in the offence. He's here to make a difference," Haaland told Sky Germany.

Bakayoko offered to Napoli

Hopes were high for Tiemoue Bakayoko when Chelsea plucked him from an exciting Monaco side that had lit up the Champions League.

However, after struggling in the Premier League, Bakayoko was shipped out on loan to AC Milan, Monaco, and Napoli.

And, according to Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Bakayoko has been offered back to Napoli on loan, completely free of charge.

In for the 'new Paul Pogba'

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Chelsea are monitoring the progress of Barcelona's Illaix Moriba.

Moriba has been labelled as the 'new Paul Pogba', however, the 18-year-old is yet to commit his future to the Catalan side.

His contract runs out next summer, and Chelsea are keeping close tabs on the youngster to see if they can sign him for a cut-price or on a free next summer.
