The draw for the group stage of the Champions League is moments away as Chelsea, Manchester City , Liverpool and Manchester United fans look to avoid the group of death in Europe’s elite club competition.
Reigning holders Chelsea and Premier League champions Manchester City are in pot one though that is not necessarily good news as pot two consists some very dangerous teams including Paris Saint-Germain.
Liverpool and Manchester United are in pot two which looks more ideal but could still face the daunting prospect of facing Bayern Munich.

Chelsea and the other English teams will discover who they will face in the group stage
It’s been great to see football start to return to normal with full attendances back in Premier League games this season.
But in qualifying games for all three European competitions, away supporters were not able to attend games.
Manchester United and Ajax have urged UEFA to reconsider the blanket ban.

It’s less than three weeks away until the world’s best club competition gets underway as 32 teams battle it out to get into the knockout stages.
Along with the usual contenders there are teams who back in the group stage for the first time in years including AC Milan who have won the trophy more times than anyone in the competition other than Real Madrid.
And in Sheriff Tiraspol we have the first Moldovan team in Champions League history to make the group stage.

The draw is very much the main event of the event but UEFA will also be handing out awards to some of the best players from the 2020-21 season.
Champions League winners Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are up for UEFA Men’s Player of the Year along with Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne.
Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel are joined by Italy’s Euro 2020 winning manager Roberto Mancini for Coach of the Year.
In total there 13 awards set to be handed out.
Pot three has some dangerous teams in it notably Serie A goal machines Atalanta and RB Leipzig which Manchester United fans will know about from last season.
The final pot looks favourable but the team to avoid is AC Milan who are back in the Champions League after a long period out.
Pot 3 teams – Porto, Ajax, Shakhtar Donetsk, RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, Benfica, Atalanta and Zenit St Petersburg.
Pot 4 teams – Besiktas, Dynamo Kyiv, Club Brugge, Young Boys, AC Milan, Malmo, VfL Wolfsburg and Sheriff Tiraspol.
So who can the English teams face from the top two pots in the seeding?
Chelsea and Manchester City could face any of the pot two teams consisting of; Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool and Manchester United meanwhile could go up against any of the top seeded; Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Lille and Sporting Lisbon.
The top seeds would normally have a big advantage going into Champions League draws but not today looking at the quality of the teams in Pot 2!
