Bleary-eyed Jeff Stelling says there’s "no better mate" than Chris Kamara
Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling says no one could have a "better mate" than colleague and friend Chris Kamara in an emotional tribute.
The tweet came after Chris Kamara confirmed he was leaving Sky Sports at the end of the season. Kamara took to social media last week to confirm the sad news after he was diagnosed with apraxia of speech, which makes it difficult for him to talk, as he bids farewell to the Sky Sports team.
The 64-year-old presenter, affectionately known as 'Kammy', became a fan-favourite due to his light-hearted attitude and regular on-screen blunders – and is fondly remembered for his catchphrase 'Unbelievable, Jeff!'.
The former footballer and manager posted on Twitter following his night with Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling: "Had a fantastic night with the one & only Unbelievable @JeffStelling who I love it’s deffo my fault if Jeff is bleary eyed tomorrow on the show."
Stelling replied: "Kammy you are … what’s the word? Unbelievable. No one could have a better mate."
Just last week, Stelling paid an emotional tribute to Kamara live on Soccer Saturday, bidding farewell to the much-loved commentator and pundit, with Kamara still planning on having a TV career after his 24-year stint at Sky Sports comes to an emotional end.

@1904Irrelevants tweeted: "This makes me so sad lads. End of an era. The Soccer Saturday team have brought laughs and entertainment to millions. The banter and jokes the ups & downs (quite literally for some teams) made Saturday afternoons a highlight for many. We’ll miss you Kammy."
Kamara's departure comes just a year-and-a-half after regular Soccer Saturday pundits Charlie Nicholas, Matt Le Tissier and Phil Thompson were controversially shown the door in what was perceived to be an attempt to freshen up the show by Sky Sports.
Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling announced his intention to leave, thanks in part to the departure of many of his friends and co-workers, but changed his mind last month and extended his contract with the company until the end of next season.
