Arsenal star Jorginho’s mum breaks down in tears inside Gunners’ dressing room

Jorginho’s mum was left in tears after spotting her son’s shirt hanging up in the Emirates Stadium dressing room.

The Italian maestro swapped Stamford Bridge for a title race at Arsenal in a £12million switch across London in the January window.

Jorginho has been enjoying his time under Mikel Arteta to date after the shock move, and it seems his mum is also happy with the change of scenery after taking a tour around the Gunners' home.

Footage posted on Instagram shows Jorginho’s mum Fernanda walking inside the Arsenal changing room and spotting her son’s number 20 shirt on the far side of the room.

She’s shown holding Jorginho’s shirt before pointing the jersey out to the camera, which later pans to show Fernanda trying to hold back the tears.

Fernanda then sheepishly turns away from view and takes in the rest of her surroundings whilst wiping away her tears. Jorginho later reposted the emotional footage to his Instagram page, with the whole family clearly proud of the switch to the league leaders.

The 31-year-old has featured five times for Arsenal since joining, playing a massive part in the Gunners' 4-2 win over Aston Villa last month as his thunderous strike bounced down off the crossbar and into the net via a deflection from Emi Martinez.

Arsenal are currently five points clear of second place Manchester City with just 12 games left in the season, with Arteta’s side also still in the Europa League round of 16.

Jorginho will need many years at the Emirates filled with trophies to match his haul at Chelsea, which includes a Champions League and Europa League winners' medal from his 213 games in west London.

However, to Gunners fans, the chance for him to deliver a first league title at the club since 2004 will see him repay every penny and more.
