Arsenal fans demand Dayot Upamecano transfer after Djene Dakonam rumours emerge

Arsenal fans have demanded Dayot Upamecano’s signature despite rumours linking the Gunners with La Liga defender Djene Dakonam.

The north London side are on the lookout for a centre-back after Calum Chambers was ruled out for the season.

And Mikel Arteta has been tipped to battle rivals Tottenham for Dakonam , who has been a regular for Getafe this season.

But popular fan show AFTV has questioned whether a move for the 28-year-old is best.

Speaking on their transfer show, host Robbie Lyle said: “We need a centre-back – it’s really a problem problem for Arsenal.

“Is he the answer or should we go for someone better?
