Owen Farrell cleared to face New Zealand after not being cited for tackle on South Africa’s Andre Esterhuizen

England star Owen Farrell will be available to face New Zealand next weekend after he avoided being cited for a controversial tackle on Andre Esterhuizen.
Farrell hit Esterhuizen in the dying seconds of England’s 12-11 win over South Africa. Referee Angus Gardner checked with the TV official on Saturday before deciding not to award a penalty against England.
But there remained fears that Farrell could be cited and hit with a ban which would rule him out of England’s next Test.
However, citing commissioner Keith Brown has said the hit did not warrant a red card.
