Valentino Rossi delights MotoGP fans after brilliant showing in Malaysia
Valentino Rossi showed there’s life in an old MotoGP racer at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Doctor didn’t get on the podium, but he finished fourth to prove the doubters wrong.

It was an impressive statement of intent from Rossi, who will turn 41 in February.
The veteran has had a topsy turvy campaign and rumours have been rife that he could hang up his leathers earlier than planned.
However, he rolled back the years at Sepang to delight his adoring support.
In reality, if his Yamaha M1 had more straight-line speed, Rossi might have bagged a podium.
Andrea Dovizioso snared third spot after his Ducati Desmosedici’s increased horsepower made the difference.
Rossi lapped up the cheers from motorsport fans after the race outside his garage.
Supporters on social media also hailed their hero.
“Give that damn thing some more horsepower! Much quicker, but not in the right areas to pass. Great race from Vale,” he said.
“Proud of you Rossi,” added a second.
“Keep strong Rossi,” commented a third.
“The greatest,” a fourth said.
Maverick Vinales bagged the win after starting the race impressively.
“It was an incredible race,” he said after bagging a memorable victory.

“We prepared for the race really good over the weekend.
“I felt I had big potential just past the first lap.
“I took the lead in the first two splits. I keep pushing, pushing and pushing. Honestly I’m so happy.
“What a shame in Australia as I thought that was a race I had a lot of potential in to.”
