NHL DFS: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy hockey picks for November 7

The 2018-19 NHL season rolls on with a three-game slate for DFS on Wednesday beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. It’s a small slate, but there will still be $30,000 on the line in FanDuel’s NHL Breakaway, $40,000 on the line in DraftKings’ Two-Man Advantage and tens of thousands more available in NHL DFS tournaments and cash games across the board. Before locking in your NHL DFS lineups for any kind of tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings, be sure to check out the NHL DFS picks and predictions from Mike McClure on Wednesday night.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best NHL DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NHL DFS player.

On Tuesday, McClure recommended Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen. The result? He made 36 saves and allowed just one goal for a 4x return on FanDuel

For Wednesday, McClure loves Penguins defender Kris Letang at $6,400 on FanDuel and $6,100 on DraftKings.

Letang has a dream matchup against the Capitals on Wednesday night. He already scored two goals and dished out an assist against them in the Penguins opener en route to and over 6x return on investment.

McClure also likes Flames goalie Mike Smith at $7,400 on FanDuel and $7,400 on DraftKings.

Smith is the least expensive goalie available on Wednesday night, but he has provided some big returns this season, including a nearly 7x return with a 43-save shutout on Oct. 9. On a night where no goalie stands out, save the money to spend elsewhere and roster Smith with some upside against a Ducks squad that hasn’t scored more than three goals since their opening game on Oct. 3.

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to go off for big numbers because of a dream matchup, and he comes at a price that will leave plenty of salary cap flexibility. Picks like these could be the difference between winning your cash games and tournaments or going home with nothing.
