Week 10 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Sleepers, advice, strategy for NFL DFS contests
Week 10 sees NFL DFS pricing tighten up across the industry. There are four high-end running backs who are in excellent spots, and I want to prioritize jamming those players in both my FanDuel and DraftKings cash game and GPP lineups. With that being said, there are multiple pass-catching running backs who have loads of upside at their price points, as well as a few wide receivers who are in line to see an increase in target share with injuries plaguing multiple teams. Tthat will help free up the salary necessary to make the high-end RB daily fantasy football roster construction work.
As always, it’s important to remember that when looking for value plays, it’s often wise to approach things like a cash game. You don’t need to overdo the value plays in GPP tournaments if you look to vary your lineup at other positions. RotoQL’s Trending Players Tool can help you quickly find the best value plays in a given week.

NFL DFS Picks Week 10: QB sleepers, values
QB Baker Mayfield, Browns vs. Falcons (DK: $5,400 | FD: $7,400)
The quarterback position is a spot where we should always look to pay down in cash games if the opportunity presents itself, and this week is no different, as we need the savings to help jam in high-end running backs like Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, or Kareem Hunt. When targeting the cheap quarterbacks, I always try to find guys who are underdogs against poor defenses, as this not only maximizes the floor, but it also the upside with them likely to be trailing late in the second half and slinging the rock into garbage time.
This week, the Browns take on the porous Falcons defense at home as five-point underdogs. Mayfield hasn’t been spectacular as a starter in the NFL, but he has been a consistent fantasy performer, posting a plus/minus of plus-1.1 and putting up zero “dud” games (scoring less than 75 percent of fantasy expectations). The matchup against the Falcons is among the best in the league, as they are giving up the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and have allowed either 300-plus yards passing or multiple touchdown passes in every game since Week 1.
Other QB Values: Alex Smith, Marcus Mariota

Week 10 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: RB sleepers, values
RB Dion Lewis, Titans vs. Patriots (DK: $4,600 | FD: $5,800)
I mentioned this is a week to spend up on one of the four high-end running backs who are in great spots, but for your flex position there are a few value running backs that you can target to help you afford some of those high-end, high-volume players. Browns RB Duke Johnson is an excellent option here in a matchup against the Falcons, who are allowing the most targets and receptions to running backs, but there are serious concerns about his usage on a week-to-week basis, so with that in mind I like pivoting to Lewis, who has taken command of the Titans backfield.
Lewis has played 63 percent of snaps or more in each of the past four weeks and has seen double-digit touches in all but one game this season. Lewis’ usage culminated with a 23-touch, 122-total-yard performance on Monday night against the Cowboys — a performance that he and the Titans will look to build on this week against the Patriots as 6.5-point underdogs. This is also a revenge spot for Lewis, who spent the past three seasons with the New England.
Other RB Values: Duke Johnson Jr., Tevin Coleman, Mike Davis

FanDuel, DraftKings Picks Week 10: WR sleepers, values
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Packers vs. Dolphins (DK: $5,000 | FD: $5,400)
The Packers wide receiving group is tough to project outside of Davante Adams, but one guy who has really stepped up has been rookie Valdes-Scantling. MVS has met or exceeded value in each of the past four games and remains too cheap in a great matchup at home against the Dolphins. It’s tough to project Valdes-Scantling for more than six targets on a week-to-week basis, but he has made the most of his opportunities, flashing his explosive ability en route to an impressive 21.13 yards per reception since he was forced into the starting lineup in Week 5. MVS will continue to get opportunities in the Packers offense as Aaron Rodgers No. 2 option with Randall Cobb washed up and Geronimo Allison hitting IR with a groin injury.
WR Maurice Harris, Redskins @ Buccaneers (DK: $3,900 | FD: $5,900)
The Redskins have the best matchup on the entire slate this week, as they take on a Buccaneers defense that ranks 31st against both quarterbacks and wide receivers. The issue for Washington is that their receiving group is completely decimated, as Jamison Crowder has missed the last few weeks with an ankle injury, Jordan Reed is struggling with neck and back injuries, Paul Richardson has been put on IR, and with pass-catching running back Chris Thompson missing time on and off all season with rib injuries. This all has opened up opportunity for WR Maurice Harris, who had a breakout game last week against the Falcons, running the majority of his routes out of the slot — a position that Tampa has been dominated by all year. Harris posted a carrier high 10 receptions for 124 yards on 12 targets last week against Atlanta and should be a safe bet to see six-plus targets again this week given the lack of other options in the Washington passing attack.
Other WR Values: John Ross, Chris Godwin, Anthony Miller
WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
Week 10 NFL DFS Picks: TE sleepers, values
TE Jack Doyle, Colts vs. Jaguars (DK: $4,300 | FD: $5,600)
The tight end position is lacking good value options this week with no players priced below $4,000 on DraftKings seeing more than four targets last week. You’re really playing with fire if you opt to dip below that $4,000 range, with Redskins ancient TE Vernon Davis being the only viable option (he would become the top TE play of the week if Jordan Reed is forced to sit out this week). One guy who I am strongly considering at the position who is just a tad too cheap is Doyle, who squares off against a struggling Jaguars defense.
Doyle has seen five or more targets in all three games that he has been active this season, and it’s clear that QB Andrew Luck loves using his tight ends as his security blanket when things start to break down. There was concern that fellow TE Eric Ebron was going to take away from Doyle’s target share after playing well during Doyle’s five-game absence due to a hip injury, however Doyle instantly slide back into the TE1 window as he out targeted Ebron seven to three in his return to action in Week 8.
Other TE Values: Vernon Davis
