WATCH: Broncos draft pick Quinn Meinerz can destroy trees with his bare hands – The Denver Post
New Denver Broncos offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz is not the normal blue-chip guy.
From Division III Wis-Whitewater, the former All-American sat out all of 2020 after his school’s season was canceled by COVID-19.
The Broncos took Meinerz with the 98th overall pick in of the draft on Friday.
He was a late Senior Bowl invitee, impressive in practices before sustaining a broken right hand and missing the game.
But Meinerz’s story is not as unique as his training regimen. Pancaking trees, lifting gas and water tanks, squatting logs and more, Meinerz is certainly a football guy. Or maybe a World’s Strongest Man contestant.
The Broncos liked his athleticism, which he flashes while carrying plywood around what appears to be a forest. Not only does he show a killer instinct carrying dead trees around live ones, but he has great footwork while doing so.
If Meinerz doesn’t work out on the Broncos line, at least he can hang out in one of Colorado’s 11 national forests.
