Bills QB Josh Allen returns to practice; Derek Anderson listed as questionable
The quarterback situation in Buffalo is taking a new turn.
Bills rookie play-caller Josh Allen is making strides in his recovery from an elbow injury, and returned to practice Friday as a limited participant. The Bills ruled the QB out early this week, but head coach Sean McDermott said Thursday that Allen is not far off from starting to throw a football.
This was the first time Allen has been listed as participating since getting hurt in Week 6.
As Buffalo gets ready to host the Bears on Sunday, more news came from the team’s injury report.
Derek Anderson, who started in place of Allen, has not been officially ruled out. He remains in the concussion protocol, and is listed as questionable.
