Despite the Giants’ dismal 2018 campaign, Barkley was a shining light and bagged the rookie of the year award.
It’s been even tougher for the influential running back this season.
The Giants are 2-7 and Barkley has suffered injury issues.
Nevertheless, ahead of the eagerly anticipated New York showdown, Barkley has released an inspiring video in conjunction with Nike.
The Penn State graduate pays homage to roots in the Big Apple.
"I can never be complacent,” Barkley says.
“I can never be satisfied because there’s always something to improve on.
“Whether it’s being a father, whether it’s football, whether it’s life. There’s always something to improve on.
“The way you turn a dream into a reality is one, you’ve got to speak it into existence.
“Everyone has dreams. But it’s just about who’s going to go get it.”
Both Jets and Giants fans were loving the inspirational message from the Bronx-born superstar.
“Saquon representing the Bronx makes me motivated to make it in anything I do,” said one fan.
“No matter how successful the Giants are Saquon Barkley is gonna be a bright spot in NYC for years to come,” added a second.
