Masters leaderboard 2020: Live golf scores, results from Sunday’s Round 4
It will truly be a tradition unlike any other. Jim Nantz’s trademark Masters phrase takes on a new meaning in 2020 as golf’s third and final major finally gets underway seven months after it was rescheduled due to COVID-19.
The pandemic is still omnipresent at Augusta National, which won’t welcome fans into its hallowed gates. And the tournament, taking place in November for the first time in its 86-year history, has made adjustments to account for limited daylight hours. That won’t diminish the prestige and intrigue as 92 golfers vie for a green jacket.
Defending champion Tiger Woods is back, but he’s facing tall odds to contend coming off a 2020 season in which the 44-year-old managed zero wins on Tour, finished in the top 10 only twice and missed the cut at the U.S. Open. Then again, that’s what everyone said about Woods in 2019 before he shocked the world to win his fifth green jacket and 15th overall major.
This year’s favorite pick to win, Bryson DeChambeau, is coming off a breakout campaign on Tour that culminated in a runaway U.S. Open victory, his first career major. Jon Rahm (+1100), Rory McIlroy (+1100), Dustin Johnson (+1200) and Justin Thomas (+1200) are expected to be among the top challengers to accept a green jacket from Woods this weekend.
