Jake Paul goads Alvarez after reaction to brother Logan’s fight vs Mayweather

Jake Paul has goaded Canelo Alvarez after the Mexican boxer stated his displeasure at the YouTuber’s brother Logan fighting Floyd Mayweather.

Logan was miraculously able to take Mayweather the full distance in Miami, in an exhibition bout that was widely derided by boxing pundits and fans.

The boxing icon dominated the contest, but was unable to land a blow that could either knock-out his opponent or produce a stoppage.

That meant that no winner was declared, with the two fighters having agreed to have no judges overseeing the bout and so the result will not count towards their professional records.

Alvarez has become lauded as the world’s best boxer since Mayweather retired from the sport for a third time.

He is currently a unified super middleweight world champion and has won multiple world championships in four weight classes.

Joining many other boxers, the 30-year-old was unhappy with Mayweather’s decision to return to the ring to take on a YouTuber.

Following Mayweather’s failure to knock-out his seemingly far inferior opponent, Alvarez appeared to be left frustrated.

The Mexican took to Twitter to reveal that frustration, posting the ‘man facepalming’ emoji following Mayweather’s bout with Paul.

But that has now incurred the wrath of Logan’s young brother Jake, himself a YouTuber-turned-boxer.

The 24-year-old has continued to back his brother despite heavy criticism of the pair’s attempt to become professional boxers.

The younger Paul has won all three of his professional bouts so far, knocking out social media influencer AnEsonGib, basketball player Nate Robinson and MMA fighter Ben Askren.

His next fight will come at the end of August when he takes on former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

But he has now invited Alvarez to fight him, stating that he believes he would easily defeat the highly-rated Mexican.

“You can’t sell PPV’s. I would eat you alive,” Jake quote tweeted in a reply to Alvarez.
