Jake Paul has challenged Floyd Mayweather to a "real fight" after claiming the legendary boxer tried to "ambush" him in Miami.
Paul, who has a 6-1 professional boxing record after losing his most recent bout to Tommy Fury, claimed Mayweather had contacted him about a potential exhibition match but insists he wants a "real fight".
Mayweather's last official fight was his TKO win over UFC star Conor McGregor back in 2017, but he has kept busy with exhibition bouts in recent years. He fought Jake's older brother Logan in a non-scored bout in 2021 and most recently faced former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers at the O2 Arena.

However, Paul does not want to have an exhibition bout against Mayweather and challenged the 46-year-old after footage emerged of a confrontation between the pair. "Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight," Paul tweeted.
"That's a fact. His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his 'exhibitions'. Now he ambushes me. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bulls***."
Footage has emerged of the confrontation, showing Paul and Mayweather exchanging words outside the Miami-Dade Arena following the NBA clash between the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, before the YouTube star ultimately fled.
Paul later claimed that "50 dudes" attempted to jump him, saying in a video on Instagram: "So I'm leaving the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere, out of like some side alley, waiting for me outside the stadium, and they're like, 'So what's up? what's all that talk now?'
"I'm like first of all, what did I say to you Floyd? I just took your hat and you're still mad about it? Come on, bro. And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to jump me, and I'm out that b****, ok?"
Meanwhile, TMZ quoted a source close to Mayweather as saying: "Jake crossed the line. This wasn't about grabbing a hat. This was about Jake's comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behaviour. Jake went to his IG and started name calling once again when he can hide behind a camera."
