A sign raised aloft in the centre of the dancefloor read 'The King Has Returned' – and it was to be a coronation celebration that would live long in Las Vegas memory.
Twelve months ago today, Tyson Fury was welcomed to Hakkasan, one of Sin City's premier night clubs, hours after defeating Deontay Wilder to reclaim his title of world heavyweight champion.
As his arm was raised in the air by referee Kenny Bayless just a few hundred yards away at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the news of the victory filtered through to those at the Hakkasan – and the final preparations for the party began.
Dozens of waitresses branded "the hottest in the world" lined up backstage, ready for his big arrival.
A pyro dragon was prepared for parading around the dancefloor, and at least 30 bottles of champagne were cracked open, ready to be ushered high in the air towards the private booth where Fury would take his seat for the night.
Swindon-born DJ Mark Eteson was among the DJs playing, and as he scrolls through his images and videos from Fury's crowning night, he can't help but have a huge smile plastered on his face.
He said: "We know it is going to be an amazing night if we have got one of our biggest DJs on, or the double whammy, one of our biggest DJs on and it's a boxing night, or a big sport event.
"On those big nights of the year, that's when we know that we don't just have the one big spender, but normally four or five of them in there – and that is when you get a ridiculous night.
"For when he comes in, they have to make sure there is a show going on. Not just with the lights, but also with the girls.

"The cocktail waitresses, who are the hottest in the world, come out with light sticks, a dragon and bottles of champagne when he arrives.
"Anything you can imagine – it probably happened!
"If you're a big spender, or you're someone like Tyson Fury, there usually will be someone who is spending $150,000 (£110,000) that night on their table.
"With that amount of cash being spent on one night, on champagne, or the drinks they bought at the table, they really can pretty much do anything.
"They will bring out any presentation to make it a big deal.
"They come out with some fireworks and stuff, but it does look pretty crazy when they bring out a dragon and thirty bottles of champagne – and it's done by a girl dressed as Jasmine from Aladdin on a magic carpet, and I'm like 'what the f*** is going on here?'"
Steve Aoki may have been the headline DJ of the night, but Fury was the star attraction, exemplified when the near 2,000-plus crowd joined him for a rendition of 'there were three Bronze Bombers in the air' upon his arrival into the DJ booth.
Fury, wearing a bespoke Claudio Lugli suit plastered with multiple pictures of himself, also sang along to Don McLean's American Pie, while Sweet Caroline was played at the venue to the delight of the Brits lucky enough to get in.
A-list celebrities like Liam Payne were among the crowd, while Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and reality TV star Mark Wright were also in attendance.
"Tyson is like 6 foot 8, he's got the flag wrapped around his neck, the lights go down and the crowd are going mad, it's absolutely fantastic, it's such a good vibe in there," Eteson said.
"Some of the crowd will have not been sure who it was. There is no way they could have not known he was someone extremely important though, because the lights would have been blazed on him and anything he said, the crowd just repeated it.
"I'm not Tyson Fury, I'm no-one, but I can get on the mic and say to a crowd 'everyone sit down on the floor right the f*** now' and they would. The whole crowd would do it. You can get away with anything if you're in the DJ booth, especially if you say it with force.
"Tyson Fury could say 'everybody spin around in circles' and they would!
"I think he should have a bit more of a laugh with the microphone. I'm going to have a word with him next time, tell him to get them to do some star jumps or something."
Fury largely kept himself in and amongst his private circle through the night, taking one of the venue's most plush VIP tables to the right of the DJ booth.
Eteson recalled: "You could wave at him and you could get his attention, but he is removed enough so that he is comfortable.
"He is behind glass and there are security guards there looking after him.
"He definitely came forward a few times and when he was on the mic, he was close enough to high five people.

"He is quite a personable person, he's the Gypsy King, he's for the people. Everyone loves him anyway because of how blunt, honest, straight-up and truthful he is."
Eteson will be performing in Vegas and across America over the next year, with some huge events alongside dance music's biggest names planned with Bluebird Wood Enterprises – and will likely be on hand should Fury return to Vegas for another fight in the near future.
He said: "It always creates the best energy when you've got people like Tyson Fury or a celebrity in the house because one big spender pops off, then another thinks, 'I can spend more than that', then he brings out the dragon.
"The next one thinks 'f*** that, I'm going to come down from the ceiling dressed as a panda'.
"These things just happen, the battle of the big spenders, it's so much fun."
