Los Angeles Clippers' Lou Williams faces three weeks out with hamstring injury

The Los Angeles Clippers are going to be without high-scoring sixth man Lou Williams for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury, coach Doc Rivers told reporters on Tuesday.

Williams left Monday’s game in Phoenix in the second quarter with what the team said was a sore left hamstring.

Rivers said he was told that Williams’ injury was not “bad” and that he could miss two to three weeks.

In his 14th season, Williams is averaging 17.2 points in just over 25 minutes per game, after averaging a career-high 22.6 points per game in 2017-18, his first full season with the Clippers.

The Clippers, who hosted the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night, entered the game with a 17-9 record, one game behind the Golden State Warriors in the Pacific Division.
