Knicks free agency rumors: New York thinks it will ‘likely’ land Marcus Morris

The Knicks think they’ll be adding one more player to their roster.

New York believes that “obtaining Marcus Morris as a free agent” is a likely scenario, according to a report from SNY, which cites unidentified league sources.

Morris originally committed to a two-year, $20 million deal with the Spurs earlier this month. But, he’s reportedly reconsidering signing that contract and may land with New York instead.

Morris averaged 13.9 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 37.5% from 3-point range for the Celtics last season. The Knicks have offered him a one-year deal, worth around $15 million, according to Yahoo Sports.
