Red Sox CF: I wouldn’t go to White House even ‘if Hillary (Clinton) was in office’

On Wednesday, Boston Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. told the Boston Globe that he will be among the players not attending the World Series champion's celebration at the White House in May. 

He told the newspaper that "I don't get into politics. But I won't be going." 

After two days of backlash, Bradley – the ALCS MVP – took to Twitter to attempt to clarify things, citing his decision as not political and saying he also would not be attending if Hillary Clinton were in office rather than Donald Trump.

In a Notes message under the caption "Riddle me…," Bradley wrote the following: 

"People have a right to their opinion and I respect that. Doesn't necessarily make it true, but at least you get to express yourself freely I guess. 

"I've been to the White House twice (2010 & 2013, yes Obama happen to be in office both times). Here is a monkey wrench thrown at the people who believe MY decision is political I still wouldn't go if Hillary was in office either.
